B&G@21C After School Program

The Capital City 21st Century Community Learning Centers at Broken Ground and Mill Brook Elementary Schools have had great successes in the first five-year cycle of their 21CCLC grant. We are thrilled to announce that we are now in the process of applying for a second five-year cycle of funding. To share a comment for Broken Ground Principal, Susan Lauze,

The gains we have witnessed for our students in terms of their self-confidence, resiliency, social skills, speaking and academics can be attributed to their full day experience in the school day programs as well as their participation in the 21st Century Grant Program. As the Broken Ground School Principal, I am confident that by extending this grant beyond 2019, the 21st Century After School program will continue to develop important connections for students and facilitate their learning and active engagement in learning, leading to more productive futures for our students.

Stay tuned for what clubs will be offered for Session 1.  We have five sessions in store for the year, each approximately seven weeks long.

**All registered members will be asked to select their clubs before starting.*

Interested in joining the after-school scene?!

Are you looking for homework help for your child? Does your child want to expand on their learning during the school day by participating in an enrichment activity? Do you need a safe place for your child to stay after school? Then, come check us out! Parents/guardians are always welcome to observe an afternoon at B&G@21C.

If your child wants to attend any of our clubs and activities, please complete our registration form and our club selection form and turn them in to the school at least 24 hours prior to their intended first day. This will allow us time to process their information and prepare for any transportation needs. Please note: It is possible that we will have additional clubs join our schedule over the next couple weeks. If your child decides they want to switch clubs, a simple transfer form can be completed to ensure they end up where they would like to be.

Don't panic if it seems like it is only for the Boys and Girls Club. This form will allow your child to attend any part of the B&G@21C Program--maybe they only want to participate in one club that meets every Tuesday or maybe they plan to be with us from 2:30-5:30 every single day. It is important that your child is registered prior to starting at the after school program. Selection of clubs and activities will take place separately as soon as a complete schedule of offerings is available. Any questions, contact us! We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to what should be an exciting year in after school programming!

THANK YOU!!
