The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers at Broken Ground and Mill Brook Elementary Schools have experienced great success in their two five-year cycles of 21CCLC grants.

21C

We are thrilled to announce that we are now in the process of applying for a third five-year cycle of funding with our partner, The Boys & Girls Club of Central and Northern New Hampshire.

Dear Mill Brook Families,
As you work to plan afterschool activities for your student(s) for the coming school year, we want to inform you that the 21C Afterschool Program will be inviting students based on need in a variety of categories. We will need a commitment that students will attend a minimum of four days and will stay until academic sessions are completed at 4:30 pm. 21C is seen as an intervention and is grant funded, we must adhere to federal and state requirements when enrolling students. We will be sending out invitations, the first round of invitations by the end of July. We will accept invited students into the Program on a first response basis. We will be accepting 50-60 students, after which we will begin our waitlist. Programming is currently scheduled to begin September 12, 2022 and will again run 2:30 - 5:30 pm.  Thank you.

Through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center's partnership with the the Boys and Girls Club students at Mill Brook School will have the opportunity to become involved in:

  • after-school academic assistance (homework help/study skills/etc.)

  • fitness and wellness activities (gym activities/dance/hoola-hooping)\

  • a variety of enrichment opportunities and experiences (cooking, art)
